Savvy Acquisition ~ winner of Jericho Cup Consolation race 2021 ~ a win that means so much to all connections!

Both of these articles are a great read, not only do they explain the importance and emotional significance of Savvy Acquisition's win of The Jericho Cup Consolation race to his connections, but also show what The Jericho Cup is all about - honouring those Light Horsemen and their amazing horses who gave so much for us, not just in WWI but all wars, we can never ever forget.

Savvy Acquisitions trainer Austy Coffey and his cousin Andrew Kelly's (who owns the horse) Grandfather, Martin Patrick Kelly and Great-Uncle, Roger Francis Hogan both served in World War One.

Andrew was actually Savvy Acquisition’s strapper for the race and helped to prepare him by trotting him off the back of his ute!

The Jericho Cup is not just a horse race, it is so much more than that, and these stories show exactly that!!!
